Fixing the 1st Column in a CSV File From a dataTaker DT8X Series 2 or 3

Intelligent dataTaker Data Loggers Export Into Excel and Other Spreadsheets
CHESTERLAND OH—April 19, 2013

ftp_dataloggerOur dataTaker data loggers are commonly used in industrial applications to log, save and export data. The dataTaker DT8X series can sample at sub-second ranges (15-20hz), but since that speed is shared across all the inputs, it is seldom used. In these cases, the CSV file produced by a dataTaker DT8X data logger running the DEX programming environment can display strangely in Excel. CAS DataLoggers Technical Support has made this brief tutorial for users who want a quick fix if this should occur. Read more on our dataTaker Technical Articles page.

CAS DataLoggers Technology Used in New Tsunami Detection System

CAS DataLoggers is proud to announce the release of a jointly-developed Tsunami Detection System incorporating its own Series 3 dataTaker DT82E system. The ARROW Tsunami Detection System is now pending patent and is the result of nearly 2 years of development work by Mooring Systems, Inc. and Down East Instrumentation, LLC. This sophisticated warning system uses a dataTaker Intelligent Environmental Data Logger to measure the height of incoming water columns and then processing the data to determine if a tsunami wave passes above the sensor, resulting in a larger network of coverage and warning capability for vulnerable areas. Control, DAQ and Calculation–All Using a dataTaker

A company utilized a CAS DataLoggers monitoring solution for a controlled atmosphere environment project as part of pilot testing for a new process. The hostile atmosphere produced was incompatible with available humidity sensor technologies, requiring real-time measurements derived from secondary sensors. Most data logger systems on the market required extra modules and software, so the customer wanted a single solution to measure, control and calculate for the project.
