CAS DataLoggers has teamed with AEMC Instruments to announce the new PEL 103 Power and Energy Datalogger, a one, two (split phase) and three phase (Y, Δ) logger with integrated display. Perfect for electricians, engineers and contractors working in building or system monitoring/upgrading and residential energy audits, these new data loggers enable users to identify power issues with electrical equipment, realize energy savings, and track occupants for energy costs. Currently-recorded data is prominently displayed, and with the FREE user friendly software, users can produce reports with only minimal time and effort. Read more on our Product Announcements page.
CAS DataLoggers recently helped a frozen product manufacturer to monitor temperature and perform power factoring on several large 3-phase compressor motors used for refrigeration. As these compressors aged through valve leakage and piston ring deterioration, the AC temperatures fluctuated which endangered product quality. To avoid compressor failure and to realize energy savings, the manufacturer needed an equipment monitoring solution with a high number of universal analog channels that could monitor temperature and the equipment’s energy/power usage. The customer also needed to totalize the energy data and the motor on/off times, so an intelligent solution was needed. Read more on our Equipment Monitoring Applications Notes page.
